2018-07-12 – Sweet change

Thursday, July 12th, 2018

Changing, always changing
and I am blessed by it.

I found myself wondering
if the tears that fall so easily now
are actually just bliss pouring through me
as I feel the magic in this life
evermore embracing me
   in its flow.

That a deeper mystery is speaking
through my heart as I accept it all
even as my understanding of the physical
recedes away in proportion to how much I know
      of the creation around me.

I am feeling something that
   the mental me cannot touch.

Something that caresses me
  as a lover's hand would.

Something that laughs
   at my understandings
      and yet loves my sincerity.

Something that whispers to me
   that I am mortal
and yet loves me so much
   that I do not care.

Belissimo existence,
   changing, ever changing
and I am so blessed by it.

2018-07-16 – Word Birds

Wednesday, July 18th, 2018

Flocks of word-birds fly through the sky
trying endlessly to configure themselves as indicators
pointing to the sky and away from themselves.
They whirl and swirl in beguiling patterns.
But, finally, exhausted they retire to land and rest.
And there's the sky.

2018-09-14 – Lucy Risin’

Friday, September 14th, 2018

A look into the endless pool of now.
No sense of coming and going - just this.
The upwelling of is-ness, a fire of bliss.

Every attempt to speak or write is
   a stone of impermanence
      thrown into the pool.

I know this place, I come here often;
   though the eruptions of bliss
      are gentler.

Separation implies will.
   And will implies difference.
      And from difference comes non-enlightenment.

'It is what it is', why be anything else?
And can we be anything else,
      except through illusion?

You can merge, but you lose reason.
   And you can have reason
but not the bliss of merger.

Everything can just be.
   But only we humans
      can reason and forget both.

But we should reason
   and remember
      that we are also existence.

And that all we have to do to fall back
into the pool of bliss and being
is to cease thinking and differentiating.

Creation is both beautiful and brutal
   and with these lives
      we can choose.
