Some clarity forming, some sifting come to fruition— Copyright 1965-2008 by Dennis Gallagher —
Bhagwan, Rajneeshism, and us … what will be?
He is enlightened and he has written and said
as much about it as he wishes … hence, his silence
Rajneeshpuram and Rajneeshism are reflections of him
thru the lens of a humanity yet unenlightened
He is not the imperfections, nor is he the enlightenment
he is the guidepost, proof of the destination
and we, we are the gathering crowd,
who have found the guidepost and worship it
aborigines in orange
He has created a storm and we are in it
anvils and hammers of each others quests
and we each quicken the other as we stumble
We’re weaving legend and myth and structure in rings here
camped at his roadside shrine
where he stands, pointing
I will try not to forget the destination amid this noise
nor that he is proof of it
and that Rajneeshism and Rajneeshpuram
and my sanyasin brothers and sisters are devices
for me on this, the stage he has swept.

Tuesday, February 12th, 1985Time moving quicker each day memories so fresh they make me ache as they recede ... two years, three? When does the 'recent' (past tense) give way to a fixed and remote history? "Ah, this!", Bhagwan says. This moment, as those, to cup to our lips to cherish it all; the receding past, the current moment, and the promised future. Here, on the razor's edge, here I must love it all. And, if I ache for the past, I will love the ache and feel, with passion, that this is perfect too. gallagher 12 Feb 1985
