Knowledge isn’t worth much
unless its lived
and one of the first things to know
is that living, really living
cannot be divided
like church and state.

Ego echos begin to run
like thieves of your spirit and quest
until you recognize them
and CHOP!…

Silence again …
only on blank paper
can experience give birth
to knowing

Chop until
silence goes on
forever.

I hear the muse at my heart
whispering of more stories
than I can ever hope to complete
or comprehend.

Lives of service to the children who starve,
of decent into the decadence of Amsterdam,
of abandoning the things that tie me
to aging without raw adventure and risk.

When he pulls, I ache for things
I’ve never had – and yet have somehow lost,
of going with my spiritual side
of stepping into the wind and clamor of life, raw.
